Description

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs: Expanding Skills, Network & Business

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a European exchange programme designed to support new and aspiring entrepreneurs by providing them with the opportunity to learn from experienced business owners in other participating countries. Through a stay of one to six months, new entrepreneurs gain valuable skills, insights, and networking opportunities essential for launching and managing a successful small business.

How it works: New entrepreneurs apply through the programme and use an EU-wide database to find a suitable host entrepreneur based on their business goals and interests. Once they identify the right match and agree on a cooperation plan, they collaborate on-site, exchanging ideas and working together on real business challenges. The stay is partially funded by the European Commission, ensuring accessibility while promoting entrepreneurship across Europe.

The programme fosters a mutually beneficial collaboration: new entrepreneurs receive hands-on training in a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), while host entrepreneurs benefit from fresh ideas, perspectives, and potential business partnerships. Supported by the European Commission and national contact points such as Chambers of Commerce, the programme facilitates cross-border knowledge exchange, innovation, and market expansion, helping entrepreneurs develop a more international outlook.
